The Fall Meeting is hosted by Geography faculty from the University of Central Arkansas and members of the Southwest Division, Association of American Geographers (SWAAG). 

The objectives and purpose of SWAAG are to further professional investigations in geography; to encourage the application of geographic findings in education, government, and business; and to improve and elevate the public image of geography. 

Members of SWAAG consist of members of the Association of American Geographers (AAG) residing in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
